Compatibility with granulator
This time, we exhibited the AS3-SPCⅢ-C750, which can be installed on the Harmo granulator SPCⅢ-C750. It is compatible with granulation machines and has received rave reviews from many customers.

When the sprues dropped from the take-out machine falls into contact with the two vertically movable shooters at the top of the AS3 hopper, the sprues own weight lowers the shooters and falls into the crusher.

After the sprues weight opens the chute and the sprues falls into the AS3 hopper, the chute maintains its balance and returns to its original state and closes. If your sprues is lightweight, please use the "balance adjustment function" on the back of the shooter to make fine adjustments.

A traverse type is recommended for the AS3 hopper. Since the runner release position can be set arbitrarily, it is possible to drop the material into the AS3 hopper's shooter with pinpoint accuracy, and the shooter can be opened and closed easily, allowing for high- speed and accurate processing.

Adjusting the balance (sprues weight: 3g)

The crusher in the video is a Harmo granulator with 0.5 horsepower (400kw) and is crushing a 3g sprues. The balance adjustment function of the AS3 hopper is set to open and close once per shot. However, in order to slightly change the angle at which the sprues are dropped into the hopper, I put more effort into adjusting the balance of the shooter on the left side, and set only the shooter on the right side to lower. This is because if a long sprues causes bridging in the hopper of the crusher, the dropping angle must be slightly adjusted to avoid the bridging. Of course, it is also easy to open and close both shooters with the same balance.

What is the point of intentionally adjusting the balance incorrectly with the same sprues?

The balance adjustment function of the same Harmo granulator has been intentionally set to make it difficult for the shooter to open. In the fourth shot, the shooter finally opens under its own weight and you can see the sprues falling. However, this timing does not necessarily mean that it is no good. As shown in the previous video, the fact that the shooter opens once per cycle means that there is a risk that the sprues will fly off each time it opens. On the other hand, if you open and close the runner once every 4 shots, as shown in this video, the risk of sprues scattering will be reduced to 1/4. The balance adjustment function can also make adjustments like this!

Master the balance adjustment function

When a lightweight sprues falls into the AS hopper, the shooter may not lower as shown in the video above. In this case, adjust using the balance adjustment function. First, place the sprues on the shooter without opening, slide the "balance adjustment function" on the side up and down, and fix the "balance adjustment function" in the open position of the shooter. Apply this adjustment to the two shutters. However, if the lightweight sprues does not open even after adjustment, it will open and close in 2 to 3 shots instead of opening and closing in 1 shot.

Convenient setting method

As shown in the first video, you can adjust the insertion angle of the sprues. For example, for the shooter on the right, slide the balance adjustment downward to reduce the load, and for the shooter on the left, slide the balance adjustment upward to increase the load. By adjusting the fall angle with this balance adjustment function, you can apply a stronger or weaker load to the two shooters and finely adjust the launch angle of the sprues. Also, the timing of opening and closing can be adjusted.

Purchase process

1:Check compatible crusher manufacturers
Currently, there are six manufacturers of crushers that we can manufacture: Storz, Horai, Holon, Matsui Seisakusho, and Kawata, mainly Harmo's granulator. Compatible with models up to 3 horsepower. However, if it is an old model or if the hopper part has dents or other damage, it may not be possible to install it.
2:Overall height is specified in horsepower
Please refer to the image above for the total height of the AS hopper. The basic overall height is 0.5 horsepower to 3 horsepower. (2 horsepower and 3 horsepower are the same) If you wish to have a different overall height, it will be custom-made or an extension hopper will be installed as an option. For more information, please use the "Quotation Request Hearing Sheet" to request a quote!
3:Other conditions!
・Applicable crusher is within 3 horsepower equivalent
・The hopper opening of the crusher is square or rectangular.
・No special additional work has been done to the hopper frontage.
・The hopper part is not deformed or missing.

AS3 hopper options

■vent
When the suction loader is turned on, the airflow flows from top to bottom, so in rare cases the chute (slide) may not close and open by around 10mm when the loader is suctioned. We recommend this option if you want to avoid this phenomenon.
■extension hopper
If the sprues release position is set high with an oscillating take-out machine or a traverse-type take-out machine, the dropped sprues may come into contact with the shooter with force and bounce back, causing them to scatter. To avoid this bounce, raise the bottom of the AS3 hopper with an extension hopper.
■viewing window
If it is necessary to check the bridge of the sprues inside the hopper, a viewing window can be installed on the AS3 hopper. You can choose between double-sided and single-sided windows.
■attachment
If the contact points between the crusher body and the AS3 hopper have different specifications, we will measure and create an attachment to ensure compatibility.
